There tends to be a myth that learning stops when you finish school. It may however continue a little longer if you attend college or University, but think again - learning is around us every day! I am privileged enough to attend many conferences and events, one of the more memorable,(forgive the name dropping!,) was at The House of Lords focussing on Women’s Talent and Effective Leadership. This was followed by a presentation by Joanna Shields, CEO Tech City & UK Digital Ambassador. It’s hard work championing diversity and inclusion for women in business, but worth it when you get dressed up and attend a prestigious luncheon and award ceremony at the beautiful Coombe Abbey Hotel! I was there representing Jungle HR, having been nominated for the Women Who Achieves…. Change Champion for Women in Business, which was an honour in itself. The Women Who Achieve Awards were set up three years ago but this was the first time I had been encouraged to enter the awards which are supported by the FSB (Federation of Small Business) who are great champions of Women in Enterprise.
