Friday 7th June at Coombe Abbey saw the fourth annual Woman Who Achieves Awards Luncheon- an event dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women across business and inspiring the next change makers. Teresa Boughey was honoured to receive the “Woman Who Achieves – Change Champion For Women in Business” Award for the second time in recognition of the hard work of Jungle HR and her new bestselling book Closing the Gap.
The Woman Who Inspires Network was launched in October 2016 by Sandra Garlick, in partnership with the FSB (Warwickshire & Coventry Branch), and events are now held in venues throughout the East & West Midlands in partnership with the FSB. Sandra is part of the FSB’s National Women in Enterprise Taskforce, who feed back information from local women in business to the national Taskforce. The organisation needs no membership, anyone looking to attend simply books in for each individual event.
The aim of the annual Woman Who Achieves Awards is give women an avenue to share and celebrate their achievements, inspire and motivate others, increased their confidence and grow through the awards process. Categories include Start up, Growing SME and Rising Star to name but a few. Teresa fought off some tough competition in the Change Champion category but ultimately claimed the top spot.
The judges commended Teresa for her dedicated work in this field and said “the winner of this category has a clear vision and is making a tremendous impact with her unique and impressive methodology, enabling organisations to create inclusive workplace cultures”

Teresa Boughey MA FCIPD is CEO of award-winning Jungle HR and possesses over 25 years experience of working with Executive Boards and Leadership teams. Throughout her career, Teresa has gained vast Strategic HR experience by working at a senior level within a variety of industries and sectors including both FTSE 100 and 250 companies, financial services, the travel industry, private and public sectors and a Sunday Times Top 100 company that grew 20% year on year. This has given her invaluable insight into which areas require improvement and the knowledge on how to change this.
She is incredibly passionate about enabling organisations to create inclusive workplace cultures and her work in this space has been recognised by this award. Teresa is a UK Female Entrepreneur Ambassador and a member of the Women and Enterprise and Women and Work. She is determined to increase the presence of women into senior leadership roles and launched Jungle Diversity in 2016, a boutique consultancy firm specialising in Diversity & Inclusion. All of these factors demonstrate Teresa’s commitment to changing business cultures, which is recognised by her receipt of this award.
