An HR expert, more used to negotiating the boardroom than giant slides, donned her Superhero outfit to tackle an inflatable obstacle course to raise funds for Severn Hospice at the weekend.
Teresa Boughey, founder and MD of Jungle HR was joined by husband Mike and son James to complete the Superhero challenge 5k course known as KAPOW!
This was Shropshire’s biggest inflatable fun day which saw hundreds budding Superheroes dress up in masks, tights and comedy costumes to climb, jump and slide over the course at the West Midlands showground in Shrewsbury.
Teresa, dressed as Wonder Woman, was raising funds in memory of her mother, Shirley Wheeldon. She said: ‘My mum was a true Wonder Woman and she was very well looked after by Severn Hospice so I was delighted to take part in the first ever KAPOW! event to raise funds for such a good cause.”
Team Jungle smashed their fundraising target but would like to raise even more, so if you can help there is still time to donate via Teresa’s Just Giving Page.
Severn Hospice provides care for patients and families who are living with life limiting illnesses and strives to look after their medical, emotional and practical needs in a compassionate and respectful environment. The Hospice relies on public fundraising for two thirds of their income every year.
